Osvaldo Guzman

Osvaldo Guzman is from Laredo, Texas where he stuOsvaldo Guzman is from Laredo, Texas, where he studied at his local university, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU). At TAMIU, Osvaldo’s focus on International Economics, along with internship experiences through the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), and The Washington Center (TWC), inspired him to work closely with his peers on initiatives like the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) and Model United Nations. After completing his undergraduate studies in 2018, Osvaldo pursued cross-cultural learning experiences abroad in Turkey, where he mentored students in English and thereafter in Timor-Leste through service with the Peace Corps. Following the closeout of his service, Osvaldo joined the international development sector with Mercy Corps, where he supported small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the United States with business technical assistance; afterward, he departed to South Sudan as Mercy Corps’ Program Development Specialist, embarking on the journey to support one of the least developed countries in the world. During his off time, Osvaldo enjoys playing team sports such as Ultimate Frisbee and conducts regular exercise routines.
