Xavier Ibrahim

Xavier Ibrahim graduated from American University, he was involved in student organizations, the Vice President of the Nu Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., residential life, and a mentor for the Community Service-Learning Program. Xavier s family is from Ghana, West Africa. He was born and raised in the Bronx, New York and then moved to Connecticut for 11 years. He currently resides in the D.C. Maryland, and the Virginia area. During his time in school, he worked various jobs, interned, and volunteered. In fall of 2021, he interned at the Environment Protection Agency in the Office of Site Remediation Enforcement/ Policy & Program Evaluation Division. In the spring and summer of 2022, he interned for the United Nations Foundation on the Better World Campaign team. In the Fall of 2022, he interned at the Department of State in the Bureau of African Affairs/East Africa. As a student, Xavier tutored for DC Reads, Latino Student Fund, Coeducation, and Reading Ready. International experiences enhanced Xavier s undergraduate career and he had the chance to experience Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Palestine, and Canada. For graduate school, Xavier hopes to receive a Master s in Public Administration in International Development, so he can work to address complex global development challenges. He is eager to begin his career as a Program/Project Development Officer with the USAID Foreign Service. Xavier loves to travel, try new foods, and spend time with friends and family.
