“I completed my congressional placement on Capitol Hill in the Office of Congressman Steny Hoyer (Maryland District 5). This experience of working with Representative Hoyer and such a great team made my time on the Hill worthwhile. This office allowed me to immerse myself in Capitol Hill and to get a deeper understanding of the role of Congress. It was important to see first hand the impact this legislative body has on domestic and international politics. This opportunity informs my future work as a USAID Foreign Service Officer and the importance of maintaining a bridge with Capitol Hill. I am grateful for all the staff in this office and everyone I met along the way during my time on the Hill.“
